Southern Gospel Music
The
"Voices of Peace" have been together since September
1997. They met at church and live within a 3-mile radius
of each other. The men provide the music with two guitars
and two musical backgrounds. Tom is a definite country
gospel fan, plays rhythm guitar, lead vocal, harmony,
and is originally from Georgia. Bud is a dedicated bluegrass
gospel flat picker, lead singer, harmony, and is originally
from Michigan. Carolyn sings lead vocal and fills in harmony.
She has written a majority of their songs. June, the silent
partner, is the head of sales and accounting. Both Carolyn
and June are from Wisconsin.

2005
was the start of a big year for them. Their song "Why
Do I Wonder" made it to number 1
on the Christian Country Gospel National Charts, and
number 5 on the Southern Gospels top 100 hits,
and they received the "Ministry Of The Year"
award at the Wisconsin Christian News Expo in Stevens
Point, Wisconsin.
They also organized the first VOP Gospel Music Fest.
This event is held annually on the 3rd weekend
in August at the Hilbert
Civic Park in Hilbert, WI. The dates for 2008 are August
15 and 16.
"Voices
of Peace" music can be heard on several radio stations
throughout the Midwest.
They have also appeared on several TV stations across
the state.

Since
their start in 1997 they have completed three full CD's
and two singles. Presently they have written 15 of their
own songs. Along with their Music Ministry and sharing
the good news of Jesus Christ with others, their personal
stories are filled with humor, excitement, and encouragement.
Their music is soothing, comforting, easy listening and
healing. Their goal is to provide Christian entertainment,
and to be an outreach to those who are searching. Many
doors are opening for the Voices of Peace. Please keep
praying for them and help them in God's mission to spread
the good news. To God Be The Glory!
